The Australian Indigenous Psychologists Association (AIPA) is the national body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander psychologists, advocating for culturally safe mental health care and supporting our members across the country.

We are seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join our small, passionate team. This new role will lead our strategic communications, manage our social media channels, oversee the redesign of our website, design engaging collateral, and promote AIPA’s work to a broad audience.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in strategic communications, content creation, and social media management
  • Strong writing, editing, and design skills
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and website CMS platforms

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Communications experience in a NGO or Aboriginal community-controlled organisation
  • An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health, suicide prevention, and/or social and emotional wellbeing
