AIPA is proud to be a part of the team that developed the Australian Football League (AFL) Social, Emotional and Cultural Wellbeing Framework, which supports the AFL to contextualise social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) and guide AFL Clubs in strengthening social, emotional and cultural wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players and staff.
As part of a broader collective, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous people from the AFL, academic and mental health sectors and representatives from AFL Clubs, AIPA’s psychologists provided expert social, emotional and cultural wellbeing guidance throughout the Framework development.
The Framework acknowledges specific guidance on the importance of SEWB and its determinants for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players and people throughout the football Industry. A copy of the Framework can be downloaded HERE
