National Indigenous Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Conference 2026

Australian Indigenous Psychologists Association (AIPA) is proud to be hosting the annual National Indigenous Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Conference 2026. The conference will be held from 24th – 26th March in Adelaide on Kaurna Country.

There will be two full days of engaging presentations from a powerful collective of experts, community leaders, community organisations and researchers centring on Indigenous knowledge systems, amplifying community-led solutions, and strengthening our shared commitment to healing social and emotional wellbeing. There is also an optional third full day of on Country workshops that help us celebrate Kaurna culture and Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing.

The Conference will platform knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and culturally grounded solutions. Discussions will ensure participants are engaged and have a chance to connect and learn with experts and community leaders.

The 2026 program showcases a rich blend of self-determined approaches, offering hope, direction, and stronger futures for our next generations. With 50+ speakers, three conference streams, cultural activities, and interactive breakout sessions, we hope you leave feeling connected, strong in culture and reinvigorated to continue the important work you do in your communities.

AIPA in partnership with Aventedge, invites you to walk with us on Kaurna Country in 2026 as we honour our knowledge, strengthen our networks, and continue shaping a future where Indigenous mental health and wellbeing are understood, respected, and prioritised.
