Professional Profile:
Sueanne is a Kamilaroi woman from Narrabri NSW.  Sueann's Father was born and raised in Narrabri, and her Grandfather grew up in Pilliga just outside of Narrabri.  Sueanne was born in Armidale and moved to Narrabri.
Sueanne is currently working as a Senior Psychologist in the Child and Youth Mental Health Services Adolescent Day Program at the Toowoomba Hospital.
Sueanne completed the 4 + 2 registration pathway after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degree at the University of Newcastle.  Sueanne began working as a psychologist within the occupational rehabilitation sector.  Sueanne spent almost 10 years assisting people with psychological and physical illnesses return to work.  During this time, Sueanne commenced postgraduate studies at University of Newcastle, before following her heart and her now husband to Toowoomba, Queensland.  Sueanne is now completing the Masters of Psychology (Clinical) program at University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba.
Whilse living in Newcastle, Sueanne was fortunate to have gained a placement at the Indigenous Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Wiyiliin Ta, in Newcastle.   Sueanne continued her love of working with chldren and families and continued this role part time right up to her move to Toowoomba.
In 2012, Sueanne began working with children aged 5-18 years and their families/carers. In 2015 Sueanne transferred to the adolescent day program where she developed and delivered group therapy programs for adolescents.

Child and Youth Mental Health and passionate about working with Indigenous young people and families.
