Carol Farnell

Carol is an Aboriginal Australian descendent of the Ngunawal/Wiradjuri people around Yass - Canberra region.  Carol was born in Brisbane and grew up on Darling Downs,  however for most of Carol's adult life she lived in the Logan - Beaudesert region.

Carol currently works in private practice, specialising in working with children, adolescents, adults and families.

Carol is a registered psychologist, working in her well established private practice clinic in North Maclean QLD.  Carol is trained in a number of different modalities including: Expressive Therapies, Interactive Drawing Therapy, and Systemic Family Constellations.

Carol is the first person in her family to gain tertiary qualifications and has a Bachelor degree in Behavioural Science, and Bachelor of Psychology (Hons), and a Grad Dip of Adult and Vocational Education.  Carol has a Grad. Cert. in Expressive Therapies.  Carol is also a Systemic Family Constellation Facilitator (international training).

Carol has had two peices of research published, one of which was presented at a National Conference.  Carol has co-developed and delivered a National Training Kit: "Train Indigenous Communities for the GST." which was co-delivered nationally.

1996   Research Project: Evaluating the use of Abbreviations for Computer Assisted Notetaking.  Published in the Proceedings for Pathways III Conference, Adelaide, 1996.

1997   Research Project: Flexible Work Arrangements in University Administration at Griffith University: A View from all Sides.  Published by Griffith University and used for Professional Development Training.
